Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Many thanks to all our families for supporting World Book Day; the children’s costumes were just amazing and they were all excited to come to school and tell us about their favourite characters. Many thanks to Miss Byron for her special World Book Day assembly. The staff fully embraced the chance to dress up as characters from the Mr Men and Little Miss books – we hope their outfits made you smile too!
I hope you all enjoyed reading the letter from Footprints sent this week. We are very excited to be able to have this opportunity to support our families and further strengthen our wonderful school. Do come and meet the Footprints staff on Wednesday 11th March @ 2.30pm and find out all about them! Please do pass this invitation to any families that don’t attend Marton or have school aged children as they are more than welcome.
Much information has been sent to schools regarding the coronavirus and we will continue to keep you updated as we receive information. Many thanks for your support in this matter.
Some of our parents have kindly organised a few stalls if you would like to purchase items for Mother’s Day. These will be on sale on Tuesday 10th March (2.30 - 4.30pm) in the school hall and Friends and Family will kindly receive a donation.
Information about our Spring 50th Birthday event was sent yesterday and we hope you will all join us on Friday 3rd April. Please don’t forget our Summer 50th event is a trip to Formby Beach on Friday 5th June (further information will be shared with you all nearer the time).
