‘Opportunities for spirituality beyond the classroom’
Our ‘Footsteps of Faith’ trail took the whole school on a pilgrimage around our outdoor grounds as we launched this new reflection feature to school. It provided an opportunity for meaningful reflection where asking important questions and learning from our own and each other’s responses were gained; but it has also left lasting opportunities for pupils to connect spiritually outdoors every day.
By placing the ‘Footsteps of Faith’ around the school grounds, it has opened the door to quiet reflection when perhaps it is most needed – when children are independent and away from the learning environment, recognising that life itself is full of opportunities.
They give prompt for children to consider the world and reflect in a personal way to questions that might matter to them.
