Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We have been very lucky this week to welcome a special author to school to work with Year 5 and 6 this week and I know all the children greatly enjoyed this. To be inspired by a published author really is an exceptional experience and we thank Mrs Field for arranging this.
On Monday Chris Gilbert – the art and soul man will be working with groups of children for our Christian Values Day where we will focus all our work on embedding our new school motto – Sow Nurture Grow. We know how much our children enjoy these experiences and what impact they have on children and look forward to seeing the work the children produce.
I have been particularly impressed by the year 6 children who have organised a bake sale on Monday to support our link school in Uganda. Please do support them by baking cakes and sending money in for children to buy cakes.
On Tuesday we will be attending the Annual General Meeting for Marton Friends & Family at 3.45pm – if you can join us please do! A crèche is available for anyone needing childcare and we really need YOUR help! Marton F & F supports school greatly and we want to continue this in the future.
