A message for Parents and Carers

    3 September 2019 (by headmarton)

Welcome back to school and the new academic year!

We are all excited to be back to school. It was a pleasure to welcome all your children today (particularly all our new little people) who look so very smart in their uniforms.

Children will come home at the end of the day with a paper copy of the ‘Overview of the school Year’ with all the important dates/useful information you will need throughout this year. By the end of this week – all of these dates will also be on our school jotter app and website so you can keep updated regularly.

Staff are looking forward to welcoming you all to our Meet the Teacher evening tomorrow: 5.30pm for Reception class, 6pm for Years 1 and 2 and 6.30pm for Years 3 – 6. After tomorrow evening all PowerPoint presentations will also be uploaded onto each Class page via the website too. Mrs Bedford will also be available tomorrow if you have any queries over school lunches, uniform etc.

You will read via our Overview that we will be introducing Communion for children in Year 4+ that have expressed an interest in receiving the sacrament. Rev Arch and Naylor have prepared a very supportive timetable and programme of work and we hope you can join us for an informal chat on Thursday 12th September if your children are interested.

I have several people to thank for all their hard work over the summer – Mr Moss for all his painting, jobs and repairs, Mrs Taylor Potts for revamping the Reception outdoor area fences, class teachers for preparing their classrooms and Mr Worth & Mr Oliver for preparing the school field for everyone – what team work!

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow, with very best wishes for a successful year ahead
