Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
What a magnificent week we have had in school!
Our week started with little Heidi holding a cake sale on Sunday to raise funds for Dementia UK, Heidi then continued this after school on Monday and in total she raised £133 which I am sure you will agree is a phenomenal amount! Many thanks to everyone for supporting Heidi and to her Mum for organising this.
We waved our Year 6 children off on their residential trip this week and were delighted to hear that they had an incredible time (staff too). They arrived back on Wednesday for a quick change, some food and were back on the road to Town Sports. Mr Marks, Mrs Woodmass and Miss Byron have had a wonderful time and we extend our special thanks to them for accompanying the Year 6.
Town Sports on Wednesday??? What can I say? We won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all felt beyond proud of our children, our staff, our parents. The feeling of support on display with every member of staff attending was just breath taking! It truly was a magnificent event and one that showed our whole school community supporting each other. Our children were presented with special medals at Celebration Assembly this morning as we all felt so very proud of their achievements. Special shout out to Mr Marks and Dean – who are our Sporting Heroes!
Roberts Bakery visited Year 6 yesterday and baked with our children, our guitar children have performed this week to the whole school, Rev Naylor conducted Tuesday Worship, Rev Calvert visited today and the Library Service has discussed their Summer reading challenge in a special assembly...you could say we have had a busy week!
Next week is looking like another very busy week and we are all looking forward to the KS2 Summer performance on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. We would also like to invite parents, carers and friends to a special Outdoor Worship on Tuesday @ 9am to celebrate our beautiful Prayer Garden, do come and join us!
