Kickstart Childcare is coming to Marton

We are delighted to announce that starting from September 2019, Kickstart Childcare will be coming to Marton & District C E Aided Primary School, offering a wrap-around childcare service for breakfast and afterschool. All of the Marton children currently have contact with the Kickstart Team as we deliver PE lessons in every class from Early Years to Year Six.

The wrap around provision will be Early Years Ofsted Registered and we will cater for children from Nursery age upwards. Kickstart Childcare has received consistently good Ofsted Inspection reports at our other provisions in Stretford and Eccles and you can view the reports online via our website.

Kickstart offer an online booking service, which parents and carers already use in our sports and holiday clubs. You can book your places online now at www.wearekickstart.com. Kickstart will try and be as flexible as we can but obviously we need to organise our staffing levels so there are two ways of booking in to the provision, both are done online. We are incentivising contractual bookings for those who need regular childcare.

    1. Contract Bookings – this is suitable for those who need regular childcare on the same day each week. You need to provide 1 months’ notice to change the terms of your contract but you can benefit from a reduced Session A price for a shorter stay and a 20% discount for siblings (session B only)
    2. Ad Hoc Bookings – these are more expensive but are suitable for those who only need occasional childcare. Places will be allocated providing there is sufficient space.

    Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club at Marton & District will be run every day during term time. We offer light and healthy breakfasts (for arrivals before 8:30am). Toast will be available every day and we also have a self-serve table with cereal, fruit, milk and water for the children to help themselves to. Along with breakfast, we have a variety of games and activities for the children to choose from while they wait for the school day to begin. Our Kickstart Team will ensure that the children are taken to their classes at the start of the school day.

    Time: 7:30am

Price: £3.50 per day (contract bookings) or £4.50 per day (ad hoc bookings)

    Afterschool Club

The Kickstart After School Club will take place every day until 6pm. The children will be collected from their classes at the end of the school day by our Kickstart Team and will be given a light, healthy snack. We have organised crafts and activities on a daily basis and the themes for these are chosen by the children each week. For the children who would rather have their own free time play there is lots to choose from, ranging from board games, sports, team games, and outdoor play.

    Time: Open until 6pm

Price: Session A: £6 for 3:30pm-4:45pm (only available on a contract basis)

Session B: £7.50 for 3:30pm-6:00pm (contract) or £8.50 for ad hoc bookings

For contract customers who book session B there is a 20% sibling discount.

If you would like to book your child/children into our Breakfast Club or Afterschool Club, then please use the online booking system on our website wearekickstart.com or go directly to kickstart.kidsclubhq.co.uk. Once you have completed your initial registration it is then simply a matter of selecting the sessions you would like your child/children to attend and completing the booking. The online booking system ensures that all children are signed in and out of the club, as well as having all relevant, and up to date contact details. You are also able to complete any dietary or medical conditions.

    Staffing

The Directors’ of Kickstart (Dean and Becca) will be working with the staff to ensure that it is a high quality provision and we are delighted that Jess Forster has been appointed as the Out of School Club Supervisor and she will be responsible for the day to day running of the wrap around clubs. We will be recruiting additional staff during the coming days and weeks and anyone who is interested in becoming a playworker for Kickstart can apply by sending a covering letter and a copy of a current CV to info@wearekickstart.com.

    Drop ins

Becca and Dean will be holding a drop in surgery for any parents or carers on Tuesday 9th July between 3.30pm-5.45pm at Marton School, prior to the KS2 Production. We understand that not everyone will be able to make this so we are happy to meet at other times or have a chat by phone – our details are below – you can contact us at anytime.

    Stay & Play

We would like to invite the new Early Years intake and parents/carers for 2019/20 to a Stay & Play session with the Kickstart staff on Monday 2nd September, 10am until 12pm. This will give everyone a chance to meet the Kickstart team and ask any questions or discuss any specific needs that their child may have. This will be a fun morning with plenty of activities and lots and lots of tea and biscuits. This is a drop in session and you do not have to book in and you can come and go as you please between these hours.
