Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Wow! What a wonderful week!
It was a pleasure to see so many parents, carers and friends join us for Sports Day today on what turned out to be such a beautiful day! The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and as always it was wonderful to witness them supporting each other. Thank you for supporting your children. Many thanks to Andy Mc for organising all the helpers and refreshments today and to the many parents and grandparents, staff and Kickstart staff, for helping clear the field. Special thanks to Mr Marks and Dean for being our sporting heroes!
Special shout out to 'The Year 2 Beeston Bunch' (including Mrs Field, Mrs Sparey, Mrs Woodmass and Mr Marks) who were just pretty fantastic on the residential this week! It was an utter delight to spend time with them exploring and enjoying the delights of Beeston. They were a credit to their families and themselves!
Please do remember that ALL children are to come to school dressed in PE/Sports clothes/Footy kits on Tuesday 25th for a special Kickstart Sport Day.
We are all very excited to be welcoming our new reception children and their families to school on Thursday 27th for their induction morning. The parents meeting will take place at 9.15am and will last about 30 minutes.
Our Move Up Morning will take place on Friday 28th June, children are to come into school as normal and following a short assembly, their new class teacher will escort them to their new classrooms.
Please, please please can I remind you all that unless you have an agreement with school, we politely ask parents/carers to NOT park in the school car park. This is for the safety of all our children. Please can I also remind you that no children should be playing football or any ball games before school and we have again reminded all children about this yesterday. A member of staff is not present until 8.45am and therefore children are not supervised if they are dropped off earlier. Many thanks.
