Welcome back to school!
We hope you have all enjoyed the half term holidays and the recent good weather, let’s hope this continues!
Yesterday the DFE announced plans for new subjects to be universal from 2020 to ensure pupils are prepared for the modern world and these include mental well-being & health and online safety – so it was timely for us at Marton as we launched The Happiness Club and our Key Stage 2 children undertook online safety training with our PCSO yesterday. We will continue to keep you informed of new changes as they occur but if you need further information please see the press release issued yesterday on www.gov.uk.
This week we have our Friends and Family school disco on Thursday night and Year 3 are conducting a Fair trade assembly for parents @ 9.10 am with a coffee morning afterwards – all very welcome to join us! This month’s parents surgery will take place after the coffee morning too.
We have welcomed Mrs Rostron to school to teach our EYFS children and have begun advertising for a permanent EYFS teacher from Easter, we will keep you updated you on any staffing news.
