Next week (Thursday 11th June 2026), Year 5 will be travelling to the Bridgewater Hall to play with the world famous Halle Orchestra. Please note that the children will need to be in school by 8:00am, as the coach to leave for Manchester will be setting off at 8:15am. All children will need to in shirts, ties and with their jumpers or cardigans, and ukuleles. Please pack a snack for your child, as we will saving our lunch for when we return and lunchboxes will not be coming with us. We will resend the original letter today which gives more detailed information about this upcoming event.

We are also delighted to invite you to a special music assembly which we will be putting on on Thursday 2nd July 2026. In this assembly, we will showcase all the incredible work Mr Pinfold and the children have put into their ukulele lessons by playing pieces such as 'Seven Nation Army' and 'The James Bond Theme' amongst others. We aim to start this at 9:15am, as this allows us time to register the children and tune up the ukuleles. We will also showcase some songs from the choir and offer some of the children having instrumental lessons the opportunity to perform. Tea and toast will provided to tide you over between dropping off your children and the concert being.
