Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We have been so proud of all our Year 6 children this week as they have completed their SATs. They enjoyed a scrummy breakfast and tackled each day with confidence and did their very best and we are all proud of them. They were given their Leaver’s Hoodies on Thursday and (despite the hot weather) look amazing in them! Special thanks and shout out to Mrs Wilson and Mrs Woodmass for all their hard work, support and treats! Mrs Wilson has organised a Movie Night back at school for Year 6 tonight so we are all looking forward to this.
We are delighted to inform you that our very own Mrs Taylor Potts and Mrs Hargreaves are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge in May.
Mrs Taylor Potts and Mrs Hargreaves will be joining The Milk Maid Marchers to take on this challenge and to fundraise for Marton F&F (our PTA) and The Farming Community Network. Please show your support and sponsor them by following this link https://martonfandf.co.uk/
Our Reception children had an amazing Explorer’s Day this week and loved being outside all day and Year 2 had a super trip to Quarry Bank Mill. All the children have told me lots and lots about these experiences at school and I have felt very proud indeed! Well done to the Team for arranging such great days for our children.
We are all now very excited for Career’s Week at school next week, Mrs Owen has arranged an extensive timetable of people to come in and discuss their careers and we are all looking forward to this.
We finish next Friday for half term holidays and return on Monday 2nd June .. to the busiest time of the year. Please do keep checking School Jotter for all important dates, we don’t want you to miss anything!
