    Weekly news from Mrs. Deakin

Everyone looks fantastic in their Jeans today and we have raised £96.00 for Jeans for Genes! It feels such a win to come to school dressed this way, thank you all for supporting us and to our fab School Council for launching this fund raiser! Do watch this space for other news from our wonderful children.

We had the pleasure of welcoming New Life Church leaders on Tuesday for Worship, Finley (Year 5) dressed as David whilst Mr Marks dressed as Goliath for their bible story, can you guess what the story was? We all loved watching them and feel very lucky to welcome such special friends to school. We will once again collect Harvest gatherings for New Life Church’s Storehouse in a few weeks and Ethos Group will invite you all to come to watch.

Some amazing Brownies led Worship on Wednesday and I hope children enjoyed their presentation, thank you girls for doing an incredible job!

We are all ready for Science Week next week; Mr Marks (our Science Lead) has planned a very enjoyable week at school and we hope children are all excited about this. Don’t forget we are all at MOSI on Tuesday, please do make sure children are on time as we need to leave school prompt. Don’t forget you will need to select your sandwich choice (if you have school lunches) by 5pm today so kitchen staff can order supplies.

I am so excited to tell you that we have received fertile eggs (thank you so much Gaz Lewis) for our incubator in The Meadow, chicks to follow in our chicken coop…watch this space for Chicken News!

We are due a heatwave next week and are certainly managing some strange weather; so sun hats, sun lotion and water bottle reminders again too please.

    Have a great weekend, Nevin
