Weekly news from Mrs. Deakin
It has been a pleasure to welcome everyone back to school this week and the glorious sunshine has meant children have been able to play out on the field at playtime; always a great delight! Should the good weather continue please remember sun hats, sun cream and water bottles.
You will have all received a letter about our forthcoming whole school trip to MOSI and we are all excited about this. We know how valuable these trips are for children and hope you will agree this will be a super day during our special Science Week. Thank you to Mr Marks for arranging such an exciting week.
Information about our after school clubs will be sent to you all next week so please do look out for this information.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all for Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, 4pm for Reception, Year 1 & 2 and 4.30pm for Years 3 – 6. Please do not worry if you are unable to attend as this information will also be added to class pages on our website. Staff will also share our new Home School Agreement on Tuesday too.
I’m looking forward to meeting parents and carers again at our Parent Surgeries. These will now take place each half term with the first meeting on Friday 6th October @ 9am. These are very informal meetings where parents can ask questions about school in general, we do not discuss individual children or their learning as this is not appropriate at these meetings. A school governor will also attend so you are able to meet Governors and hear about their roles at school.
I hope your children have had a wonderful first week back at school, we have welcomed many new little faces and parents and our Marton family is growing.
We are all excited about the year ahead and wish you all a wonderful (sunny) weekend.
