Welcome back ! We are now half way through Year 1 - it's flying by!
Today we have talked about practising for Year 2, and I have set a challenge for the children to bring their belongings into the classroom on their own without parents in the mornings. Whilst this may be out of the ordinary for some children, I'm confident that all of Y1 can do this and it will be a step in the right direction in preparation for the next academic year and developing independence and confidence. Please support your child by encouraging them into the classroom on their own, where myself or Miss Heath will be there to welcome them.
Additional info: Cricket has now finished for Y1 so children will need to wear uniform on Tuesdays.
World book day is this Thursday in which children will not be required to wear PE Kit but their costume along with a warm coat and outdoor shoes (as many of our world book day activities will take place outside). We're very excited!
