    Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

I am delighted to share with you all some super news this week, we had a Register and Inspection check on Wednesday and our attendance figures are brilliant! Thank you for supporting your children, for their wonderful attendance and punctuality. Attendance is so important and it’s vital for children’s well-being that they start the school day ready and prepared. Huge thanks to Mrs Laird for all her hard work and prep for this visit too. Our Attendance policy is on our website if you should need this.

On Thursday we had a ‘Keeping on Track’ visit in readiness for a future SIAMS visit. This is the church school inspection that takes place along with Ofsted Inspections. Miss Copestick and I were present for this and our visitor was so complimentary of all the hard work at school. It’s so lovely to receive such rewarding comments back about school practice, many thanks to Miss Copestick for being so visionary and leading RE and Collective Worship so successfully.

Our Year 1 children looked absolutely amazing this week and enjoyed their trip to Congleton, we even made local BBC news and their costumes were fantastic! It’s special days like this that children remember and we thank all parents for attending.

Now we are able to welcome visitors/parents into school, please can I extend our invitation to join Worship on Tuesdays with Rev Arch. This takes place at 9.10am and all are welcome to attend!

I hope you have all seen that our School Council are selling red noses for Red Nose Day. Children are welcome to wear something red next Friday along with their uniform and pay £1.00. Throughout the week children will take part in RND activities too.

On Monday Year 6 head off for their residential trip and we wish them a super time and great weather!

    Best wishes, Nevin Deakin
