    Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

It gave me great pleasure to select the winners for the Christmas poster this week. We received so many beautiful designs and it was incredibly hard to choose. I can confirm though that the winners were:

    Key Stage 1: Oliver Arnold

    Key Stage 2: Chloe Stevens

We announced the winners in today’s Celebration assembly and Oliver and Chloe received a selection box as a special treat from F & F. Their displays will appear around school and showcase all the exciting December events we have planned at school. Many thanks to Mrs Sparey for being a superstar and adding these to our school jotter.

Please don’t forget to join our online F & F Quiz tonight which we are all looking forward to.

Many thanks to all staff and children for welcoming Pret a Portrait into school this week to take children’s photos. They followed Covid safety rules and were very professional. We hope you all enjoy choosing your children’s photos.

Information about Parents evening will be sent to you all on Monday and we will once again conduct this via Zoom. Parents evening will take place on Monday 23rd November for the whole school apart from Year 2 who will have their parents evening conducted on Wednesday 25th November.

Next Friday sees the start of our famous Friday mountains and we will be collecting bottles. As we are unable to welcome parents into school, F & F will be parked in the school car park to collect children’s bottles as they arrive. Children are welcome to wear their own clothes in ‘payment’ for a bottle for the Christmas raffle. Many thanks in advance.

Following on from our supportive Parent Surgery before half term we have gathered the RSHE (Relationship Sex Health Education) resources for parents to view in the school foyer on Friday 20th November. These will be available from 9.30 – 11.30am and 1.30 – 3pm. Parents will need to wear masks and we will be asking for you to record your comments on paper. This will help us gather parent/carer responses ready for our next Parent Surgery on Friday 27th November at 9.15am.

Next Friday is Saaaaaandra’s last day, any donations are still welcome by mid-week if parents would like to contribute to her leaving gift.

Wishing you all a happy weekend, Nevin
