Staffing news - Autumn Term
8 July 2020 (by headmarton)
Dear Parents and Carers
I know lockdown has provided many people with a chance to ‘reassess’ their lives and it has made us all appreciate our friends and families much more than we ever did; As a result, I am writing to inform you that Mrs Bedford (Saaaandra as she is affectionately known amongst the staff) has decided to resign in the autumn term and spend some valuable time supporting her family.
Whilst we are devastated to be losing her, we all know this is the right decision and wish both her and her husband Andy some special time together!
It’s hard to imagine that Sandra won’t be part of ‘Team Marton’ in the future. The support she has given to many families, staff and governors and to me personally; has meant so very much that I, among many, are lucky to call her a friend and her leaving Marton will not be the end of our friendship!
Being ever mindful of school, Sandra has given us plenty of notice in finding a replacement and we hope to appoint in the autumn term so that she can support a new member of staff and ensure a smooth handover and we are grateful for that. We will from September begin the recruitment process and I will keep you all informed.
With best wishes, Nevin Deakin
