Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It wouldn't be Friday without writing my Head's Up! And so I had to write one today!
I have been teaching for many years and to say today has felt sad is an understatement. We have deliberately NOT said goodbye to your children today as we hope that we will all see each other again soon.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the work they have shown is ensuring school life has been nearly normal. Despite the concerns for their own families, they join me in wanting the very best for your children too.
Our Governors have supported every school decision and have been in constant contact with us. Thank you School Governors for all your support.
Our parents have sent so many messages, cards, emails and we have been overwhelmed by the love and affection you have shown us. Many tears have fallen and I am sure more are to follow.
We have personally responded to every message and I have tried to keep you as updated as I have been. I will continue to keep in touch and write a ‘Head’s Up!’ message each Friday. We will continue to access emails and support our families as much as we can.
School will become a care provision centre on Monday for Key Workers Children and we hope you will respect and understand my earlier message that this is for essential workers. We have a rota of adults who will be working on different days and who are willing to support this provision.
We are in unknown times and we can only hope that soon we will reunite and be together once more.
