Sow, Nurture, Grow

For Marton & District C of E Primary School

A child is a seed, perfect and whole.

A seed needs nurture, food for their soul.

Sit with the seed, hear of its dreams,

Then sow it with hands gentle as a breeze.

Give this seed love, purpose and hope,

Watch it develop like an acorn to oak.

Teach it to sway, with the life it is given.

Talk to the seedling, remember to listen.

Allow it to falter, allow it to grow.

This is the magic of the seeds that we sow.

In this way, the seedling can become a great oak,

Or a small one, a quiet one, a tree with more hope.

Set the tree in the meadow of life that unfolds,

for the tree is a child, perfect and whole.
