Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
What a week!!
Whilst I am unable to share the outcome of our Ofsted Inspection this week I would like to thank you for ALL the support you gave school this week; in your parent surveys, kind messages and comments, friendly hugs and by talking to the Inspector. We are thrilled he recognised what a happy school family we are and I extend my thanks to the whole school team; staff, governors, volunteers and to your wonderful children who we remain so proud of! We are ending a very special week at school with hearts that are full!
It will be several weeks until we receive the report and I look forward to sharing this with you in due course.
Not only did we have a school inspection but we also welcomed a special friend, Imran our Muslim Leader who held assembly on Thursday and worked alongside some classes. His first response as he arrived at school was to thank me for inviting him and allowing him to be part of our school family. Throughout the day he reiterated his thanks and expressed his love for the school. Every child watched and listened carefully to him talk about The Five Pillars of Islam and it was an privilege to see him again.
I am delighted to have received two candidates for the role of Parent Governor and excited to be holding an election. I have sent you all an email with full details ahead of ballot papers that you will receive on Monday. Huge good luck to both Mathew and Sarah.
It's nearly time for movie night! F & F have worked so hard on this event and in my opinion – is the perfect end of a very successful school week.
