Life Cycles Science Unit
Dear Parents/Carers
Over the next two weeks, Year 5 will be finishing their “Life Cycles” unit from the science curriculum. The final part of the unit includes the process of reproduction in humans and plants. We will discuss how sex cells from male and female organs combine to create offspring and how the new offspring will inherit characteristics from both parents. We will compare how this process occurs in plants, to how this occurs in humans.
I would like to make you aware of this so you will be prepared for any questions your child may have following this.
