    Head's Up!

    6 November 2020 (by headmarton)

    Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

It was a pleasure to welcome everyone back to school after half term, we also welcomed new staff members; Mrs Laird in the school office and our new teaching assistant Miss Andrews. Together they have already made great contributions to the staff team.

Our super School Council have met this week led by Mrs Owen and have many exciting ideas up their sleeves…do please support them!

The Book fair arrived on Wednesday (albeit a little different) and Mrs Woodmass and Mrs Wilson have been busy making sure each child’s books have been delivered to them. We thank them for all their hard work. School will receive commission for free books so we thank you all for your support too.

Pret a Portrait will be in school on Tuesday for individual and sibling photos so please can you ensure ALL children are in full uniform.

We know it’s been Election friendly news of late but we will also be holding our very own Parent Governor Election and today your child will bring home ballot papers (2 per household) for our parent governor election.

To vote in the election, you should place an X against ONE NAME on the ballot paper, detach the slip and return to school. The ballot box will be left in the foyer during the school day. Ballot papers should be sent to the returning officers no later than 9am on Friday 13th November.  The count will be held on Friday 13th November at 3pm and the result will be available by Friday 13th November at 4pm.

Both candidates have prepared a personal statement and this was emailed to you all earlier today.

With best wishes for the weekend, Nevin
