    Head's Up!

    2 October 2020 (by headmarton)

    Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

This week we have begun planning for Harvest and although we cannot invite you all into school, each class will still prepare a ‘something special’ and we will record this as a short film. Staff will upload these short films onto Seesaw by Wednesday 14th October so you can see each class’ celebration.

We do once again want to support the Storehouse at New Life Church as we know (now more than ever) families are reaching out for support and help. We would like to support them by collecting much needed items. I will add their shopping list to a separate message for you all.

All of your generous gifts can be sent with your child to their classrooms from Monday 12th October and we will pass these to New Life on Wednesday 14th October. The Storehouse now have a van called  ‘Love thy neighbour’ which they will park on the Key Stage 2 playground and each class can load their Harvest donations into the van. We will take lots of pictures to share with you all too. Please therefore can any donations come inside carrier bags or as single items not in the beautiful baskets that you normally produce. With love and thanks for your support.

Please don’t forget to join us all on Tuesday 6th October @ 8pm via Zoom for our F & F meeting. Zoom details are:

Today we have heard the very sad news that one of our (past) Marton parents have died; Mrs Linda Bellis sadly passed away last night. I was lucky to call Linda a friend and greatly admired her; I cannot believe she has passed away. Our love and thoughts are with Adrian, Luke and Amy at this very sad time.

Do stay safe and take care of each other, Nevin
