Marton & District C E Aided Primary School

In the final matches of the season Marton got off to the perfect start with a flawless performance against Havannah. All 9 players played to their true potential and the ball flew up and down the court with ease as we dominated the game to win 19-0! Unfortunately we just couldn't sustain the same level of play against our closest rivals Quinta in our final match. Despite our best efforts, it was Quinta who got off to a flying start and we couldn't peg them back as they went on to secure a 12-2 victory. It's been a pleasure and a privilege to coach this year's team and they have improved more than we dared hope. Finishing as runners up to Quinta (who have players who play at Club level not just at school), in both the tournament and the league is no mean feat, particularly when you take into account that two of our players are only in year 4. Huge congratulations to all our players, you are a credit to our school and your families. Thanks for all the support from parents and families...transporting children, bringing tea and cake, cheering us on from the sidelines in the pouring rain and collecting missing/forgotten kit.
