Marton & District C E Aided Primary School

On Wednesday evening, we attended the annual sporting spectacle of Town Sports athletics competition at Congleton High School.

The fantastic event sees KS2 children from across all the local primary schools taking part in various track and field events, including, sprint, skipping, javelin and standing long jump. 

This is an event that we always look forward to attending with 25 children taking part, over 20 staff cheering everybody on and it was fantastic to see so many Parents, Grandparents and other friends and family coming along to support. We were definitely the loudest school there!

The children put in some amazing individual performances across the night with a constant stream of gold, silver and bronze medals being won and earning vital points for the overall team score.

After nearly 3 fantastic hours of athletics, we were announced champions of both the girls team event and the combined boys and girls team event. 

We couldn't be prouder of every single child who took part, were fantastic representatives for our school and were all vital members of Team Marton!
