Y1-6 Religious Education trip on November 14th 2022

    19 October 2022 (by officemarton)

We have been lucky enough to secure a Religious Education trip on November 14th 2022 to Liverpool. The trip will be for all children from Y1 through to Year 6 and each class will visit 2 places of Worship.

    Dear Parents and Carers

This RE trip is to support our school value of ‘communion’ this term, and provide education and an experience for our children to learn about faith in and around our school community. Please note that children will not be required to worship, only learn about religion and these beautiful places of worship.

Year 1 and Year 2 will visit Liverpool Cathedral and Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.

Year 3 and Year 4 will visit the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and the Abdullah Quilliam Society Mosque.

Year 5 and Year 6 will visit the Abdullah Quilliam Society Mosque and Liverpool Cathedral.

These visits will form part of the School curriculum so we’re delighted to say it is also FREE to families, after also securing a contribution from our brilliant F&F. A huge thanks!

Please provide consent via Parent pay for this free trip, to allow us to take the children out of school. (There is an option to donate towards this trip if you would like to contribute £1+ to help out in any way. It will be live on Parent Pay from tomorrow).

    Other information:

This trip will take part during the normal hours of the school day so school buses will run as normal.

All children will be required to bring a drink and packed lunch for the trip. If your child requires a packed lunch from our kitchen on that day, please select this on parent pay by Wednesday 9th November.

School uniform is to be worn on the day, and school will provide high visibility waistcoats for all children.

Reception will take part in an RE based day in school, learning about our Marton Oak, School vision and the school community.
