What a fabulous end to a very busy half term! It was such a treat to have ‘Sweetie Friday’ today as we know our children love this so much too.
I hope you have all read through the special (long) list of dates for the final half term of the school year that was sent to you all and added to school jotter on Monday, as next half term is even busier! We are lucky to be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee after the holidays and this is something special to look forward to. Our awesome School Council and awesome Mrs Owen have prepared and planned for this and delivered a super assembly to the whole school on Wednesday and it’s sure to be a super event! PLEASE do come and join us for cake and chat from 2pm on Wednesday 8th June – all welcome! Cake donations will be (gratefully) received on the Tuesday please.
Message from Mrs Owen: During the assembly on Wednesday, our school council set a Queen's Jubilee competition for all the children in the school. Over half term they would like your child to make a piece of art work based on the Queen. This might be a model of a new carriage, designing a new crown, making a necklace or making a corgi dog. All entries in the competition need to be returned to school by Tuesday 7th June and it will all be displayed in the Royal Gallery for the celebrations. There will be a prize for the winning entry.
Many thanks for supporting our Reception children once again with their class fundraiser, they have made a grand total of £214.50 how fantastic!!
We hope you all have a wonderful half term holiday and are able to celebrate the Jubilee with friends and family. This is a momentous occasion to make special memories and take lots of photographs of! Miss Andrew will be our official photographer on our Jubilee day and hopes to capture lots of special times in which to share with you all.
Please note we return to school on Monday 6th June and only ASM clubs will take place on Thursday and Friday that week. All other After School Clubs (including horse riding) resume again from week beginning 13th June.
